Skål International World Congress 2025, la crème de la crème in altitude.

The 84th Skål International World Congress was held in Cusco, with top elite executives brought together tourism professionals from around the world.

From September 25 to 30, 2025, the event to discuss best practices, network, and celebrate the organization's motto, ‘Doing Business Among Friends’ was a perfect networking and friendship-building experience.

With more than 300 delegates worldwide, the event was not only a congress but also an exceptionally enjoyable experience in one of the world’s most iconic destinations. Located in the historic city of Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire, it provided a culturally rich backdrop for the event.

The Opening Ceremony took place at the iconic Koricancha Esplanade, with a welcome ceremony and flag parade, followed by fantastic culinary experiences.

The programme included the Annual General Assembly, where new Executive Board members were elected to lead the organisation; a Global Marketplace with B2B business meetings; visits to historical areas; and several social events.

The event also featured the presentation of the Skål International Sustainable Tourism Awards, with an exceptional number of more than 100 entries worldwide, recognising best practices in sustainable tourism.

The congress was also an opportunity for Peru and Cusco to promote themselves as major tourist and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destinations.
